Mandy Glanvill - Mountain Instructor

Having many years of experience in rock climbing, you will receive the highest quality instruction from Mandy Glanvill.

Mandy has a wealth of experience and knowledge having instructed at all levels from beginners up to those wanting to improve their leading grade. Being a qualified teacher and having the Mountain Instructors Award, Mandy has taught in schools, colleges, at the National Mountain Centre for England and Wales at Plas-y-Brenin, and for private individuals and groups. What singles Mandy out is her ability to make people feel comfortable and confident in the rock environment and provide thoughtful and detailed input while having a boundless supply of energy and enthusiasm.

Mandy has climbed all over the world and also enjoys winter climbing, caving canoeing and skiing. She lives in Keswick in the heart of the Lake District. As well as running WomenRock Mandy is involved in difficult access work, having been a supervisor for many years in this profession and involved with the trade association. She has a detailed knowledge of technical matters involving climbing equipment, systems and methods.
